Mallory's blanket is as done as it's going to be before she leaves for college in 6 days. The current dimensions are 35" x 27". I may try and add more to it next summer when she is home. It seems kind of lopsided, but maybe that is a design feature.

She seemed to like them.

Instead of the same pattern as the first sock, this one was a simple K2, P2.

Tulip Sock Revisited

Since I ripped out my first attempt at this sock,
I now present my second attempt.

This one was made on a 34 peg FG loom with
two strands of sock weight cotton blend yarn.

I messed up the bottom in two places, can you see?

The sock ended up way to thick to be worn in a shoe, but I think my daughter will like them as slipper socks when it gets cooler.

Tulip Sock for Natalie

I'm making a sock for Natalie.

After trying on the sock, I realized it was too long.

About an inch too long.

So I had to take it off the loom and rip some of it out.

Doesn't the bottom look good. The toe seam is underneath too.

I'm not sure that it looks like the pattern.

But I like the colors anyway.

It looks like the sock I made for Bailey is too long. See the blue triangle just above her heel? That should be on her heel, not above it. I'll have to rip out some of the foot length and redo the toe portion. Ack! That's what I get for not using a pattern. Now I know that this yarn is stretcher than the other yarn I made socks with for Bailey.
Here's a picture of the sock after I ripped out some of the foot and redid the toe. It fits much better now. Now to finish the other one.

Bailey loved her new fingerless mitten so much she wore it to bed. She was sad when I told her that it would take me until Saturday to finish the other one.

Extra fine gauge sock/mitten looms in child and adult sizes.

Small gauge Wonderloom has three adjustable pieces so you can change the size of the circle you make and do increases and decreases. It can also be used to make flat pieces.

Fine gauge rake is good for flat pieces.

These colorful looms are 3 of a set of 4 looms that I started with last year. Circular and flat pieces can be knit on these looms. The blue loom is perfect for premie hats and adult sized slipper socks. The red loom is perfect for infant sized hats and scarfs. The green loom is perfect for adult sized hats. It also comes with an extra large yellow loom which is good for shawls and baby doll blankets.

I made this slipper sock using cotton yarn on my small gauge child sized sock loom. Natalie won't keep it on, so it doesn't look like I have to make the mate, unless I can think of someone else to give them to.

I made this mitten on my fine gauge child size loom using the one loom method to make the thumb. The yarn is chunky so the mitten is very thick. Should keep the recepient's hands very warm.
